Hello, I'm Reginald Bean.

Speaker, Author, Mentor and Thought Leader on Organizational Cultural & Inclusion and Multi-generational Engagement

"When I look back over the earlier years of my life, I wish I would have had someone to advise me on the road ahead; but in the environment in which I grew up, the concept of preparing a boy for manhood was taboo and didn’t exist."

Throughout the year, I meet with educators and organization leaders around the country who seek insight and understanding on how o effectively communicate and engage the nation's emerging leaders.  One of the biggest missed opportunities with young men is the ability to maximize their true potential and live purposeful lives. Having grown up as a troubled teen in Detroit, Michigan to navigating the world as a man, I understand this need all too well. Through a combination of staff training and development workshops, culture coaching, literacy resources and project consulting, I help teams bridge the gap and build resilient leaders.

In 2013, I founded Ideas in Motion with the purpose to inspire boys and young men to live purposeful, impactful and resilient lives. In an effort to increase learning opportunities beyond the classroom, Ideas in Motion creates literacy content and workshops for individuals and organizations with male mentoring at the core of its mission.

In A Year and Some Change: Revealing Your Full Potential through Purpose and Perspective, Reginald Bean challenges you to take the next year and a few additional months to look at yourself, explore what you expect from yourself and from life, and answer the question, “What great contribution will I have on my community and family?” He encourages you to pick one area of your life, community, or social circle to change and explains how to do it. Through a series of resolutions, personal anecdotes, and creative exercises, Reginald Bean will guide your way to revealing your full potential.
